I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with over 15 years experience in a range of diverse local and international settings with adolescents, adults and communities, and have a particular passion in women’s integrated wellbeing.
I am authentic, intuitive and curious, and view the therapeutic relationship as paramount to offering you a pathway to your individual healing and safety needs.
I am particularly experienced in working with marginalised groups and domestic and family violence matters, and offer specialised discretion in this space. I believe that a sense of belonging and rebuilding choice and control are some of the most valuable tools for healing.
I believe in the powerful but often under-engaged connection between mind, body and spirit. Inviting in and creating space for listening, observing and feeling inwards can offer incredible wisdom to individual recovery. I will gently hold this space for you.
My grounded and non-judgemental approach invites you to become more attune to your inner workings, and you can begin to live more closely to your true authenticity in informed and empowered ways.
I incorporate a variety of evidence-based counselling techniques, depending on individual needs. Modalities that I frequently use include: Trauma Informed Therapy, Recovery Oriented Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Grounding Therapy, Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy. I respect that you are the expert in your life and believe that long-lasting change is possible.
Qualifications: BSocSc (HumServ), MSocWk
Personally, I restore my energy through yoga, meditation, bush walks, being in nature, bike riding and playing with my two dogs.
I welcome working with individuals who are ready and motivated to invest in themselves and their changes.
